Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti or lo mein noodles
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 10 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan
  • 3 green onions, sliced

Steps

  1. Boil the noodles in salted water until just tender. Save 1/2 cup of the water, then drain.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and cook gently, stirring, until golden and fragrant, 3 to 4 minutes. Don't let it burn.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce and brown sugar.
  4. Add the noodles, parmesan and a splash of pasta water. Toss until coated and glossy.
  5. Top with green onions.

TipToss in sautéed shrimp to turn it into a full dinner.
