A no-bake pan of chocolate pudding and cream cheese layers buried under crushed Oreo 'dirt' and gummy worms. Kids love building it.

Ingredients

  • 1 (36-cookie) package chocolate sandwich cookies, such as Oreos
  • 4 tbsp butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 (3.9 oz) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping, thawed
  • gummy worms and candy pumpkins, to decorate

Steps

  1. Crush the cookies to fine crumbs in a food processor or a sealed bag with a rolling pin.
  2. Beat the butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. In another bowl whisk the pudding mix and milk 2 minutes; let it thicken 5 minutes. Fold in the cream cheese mixture and the whipped topping.
  4. Spread a third of the crumbs in a 9x13-inch pan, top with half the pudding, repeat, and finish with the remaining crumbs.
  5. Chill at least 3 hours. Decorate with gummy worms just before serving.

TipFor individual dirt cups, layer it in clear plastic cups instead of a pan.
