Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) bag coleslaw mix, or 6 cups shredded green and red cabbage plus 1 grated carrot
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper

Steps

  1. Whisk the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, mustard, celery seed, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Add the cabbage and toss well.
  3. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes so it softens a little, then toss again before serving.

TipKeep it in a cooler under 40°F at a tailgate and don't leave it out more than 2 hours (1 hour if it's above 90°F).
