Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (any kind)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 to 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 apple, grated or finely diced
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans

Steps

  1. In a bowl, stir together the oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, cinnamon and salt.
  2. Fold in most of the apple, saving a little for the top.
  3. Divide between two jars, cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight.
  4. In the morning, stir, add a splash of milk if it is too thick, and top with the rest of the apple and the nuts.

TipKeeps 4 days in the fridge, so make a batch on Sunday. Add the nuts just before eating so they stay crunchy.
